One of the great things about living in our time is that everyone can have luscious, healthy-looking hair. Thanks to the advancements in hair extension technology, beautiful voluminous locks are not out of reach – you just need to know which types of hair extensions are suitable for you.

Hand-tied weft hair extensions are one of the most popular kinds at the moment, and rightly so, they provide the most seamless, natural-looking results while also being gentle on your own hair.

Hand-tied wefts are, as the name suggests, made by manually attaching hair to an extension seam and then sewing to your natural hair with tiny beads and cotton thread.

So, let’s see why you should choose hand-tied hair extensions.

1. Natural Look Hand-tied wefts are very thin, which allows them to lay flat against your head, so they are your best option for natural-looking length and volume.

2. Great for All Hair Types

Hand-tied hair extensions are suitable for all hair types, including thin/fine, medium, thick, but even dyed and breakage-prone hair.

3.  Comfortable and Luxurious

Being in constant discomfort is a high price to pay for beauty. Thankfully, hair-tied wefts feel very light and comfortable when installed by a Hairlaya certified stylist because they know to pull as much of your hair as possible through the beads to minimize the weight placed on each strand of your own hair. And thanks to their high quality and the meticulous application process, the extensions move and feel perfectly natural, causing no discomfort whatsoever.

4. No Chemicals or Additives

No glue or harmful chemicals are involved in the installation of hand-tied wefts; everything is done by hand, using just beads and cotton thread. Keeping your hair and scalp healthy is hard work, so we know you wouldn’t want to ruin everything by using harsh chemicals to install your extensions.

5. Wear Them Up or Down

Hand-tied weft hair extensions are super easy to style because they are virtually invisible! You can braid them or put them up in a bun or a lovely voluminous ponytail, and no one will know that you are wearing extensions because the first beads are attached a few inches from your hairline.

6. They Fit Your Lifestyle

There is no need to change your lifestyle or daily routine just because you are wearing hand-tied wefts. You can dance, work out, and even swim with your extensions – just make sure your wear a silicone swim cap when you swim in chlorinated pool water.

7. Easy Maintenance

Hand-tied weft hair extensions are easy to maintain, but there are a few extra steps you can take if you want to prolong their wear and reuse them over and over again. Brushing your hand-tied wefts before washing them with a sulfate-free shampoo will reduce tangling and breakage, and using a quality heat protectant for blow-drying and heat styling your extensions is also essential for maintaining them in good shape. Finally, to make your hand-tied weft extensions last as long as possible put your hair in a protective style before bed.

8. Long-Lasting Extensions

Hand-tied weft hair extensions last, on average, two weeks longer than machine-made extensions. After that, if properly cared for, they can be reused many times. The number of times you can reuse them dramatically depends on the quality of your extensions. In other words, you get what you pay for. High-quality double-drawn hair extensions with full cuticles, such as Hairlaya hand-tied wefts, can be reused for up to 2 years if you take good care of them.

To Valerie,
So, yes, hand-tied extensions can not be cut. Those who wish to install hand-tied should find a hand-tied certified stylist.
You can use our hybrid wefts, which are as light as hand-tied’s, but can be cut to fit individuals’ heads without shedding.

Best,
Team Hairlaya

Hand tie’s extensions are NOT meant for weaves there meant for making individual fusion extensions
Had my hair done with a beaded weave .. with BABE hand tied.. Beautiful hair .. never attempt to cut the hand tied weave at the base to fit the individuals size of head .. If that is done must glue and bond .. I invested in $1300 hundred dollars in Babe hand tied hair . My hair Stylist thought she can cut them .NOT!!!!! Let’s say I had an nervous break down as it lasted 2 weeks .. I been doing extensions for 30 years it broke my heart to see it shed.My advice never ever cut them and use the machine weave product .. I know that there lighter but they also stated to to mat at the base .. $1700 I wasted….
